Warhammer Army: Undead

Summary of the game
Armies book for the war game Warhammer Fantasy game 4th edition. This book explains how undead armies work. Besides describing the dynamics and units for this war game, it describes the origin of the undead and their geographical regions. The origin is linked to Nagash, a priest king of the kingdom of Khemintri (an idealized version of Egypt) who was the first necromancer. His story is told, the story of the origin of vampirism in this game, and the Kingdom of the Dead is described, a dark vision of an Egypt plagued by mummies, skeletons and zombies.

Warhammer Army: Undead is a book for the 4th edition of Warhammer Fantasy, which explains the origin, history, and characteristics of the undead armies. The undead were linked to a dark priest in the kingdom of Khemri, in the region of Nehekhara, which are both clearly inspired by ancient Egypt. In this region, the lords of the cities sought to preserve their bodies for the afterlife. Because of his research into the magic of life and death, Nagash, a priest and brother of the king of Khemri, discovered necromancy and began to experiment with the possibility of surviving death, thereby creating the first undead.
Nagash then initiates a rebellion and tries to conquer Nehekhara. But these events unleash a curse, “The Great Ritual”, that turns all the inhabitants of the land into the undead, causes the awakening of the ancient kings of Nehekhara into mummies, and turns their fertile land into the Land of the Death. In addition to the vision of the corruption of Nehekhara, this book describes the origin of vampirism in this game, linked to Nagash.
In this edition, the undead armies feature only two distinctly Egyptian units, simple mummies (a monstrous infantry unit) and mummies of the tomb kings (an individual unit that acts as a battalion leader). In addition, there are two heroes for the armies, Nagash the Necromancer and Setra, the Tomb King of Khemri.
