Summary of the game
Tyrion Cuthbert: Attorney of the Arcane is a visual novel inspired by the Ace Attorney series. You play as a defense attorney who practices law in a world of fantasy and wizards. You must defend clients accused of various crimes committed using magic and use the rules of magic to prove them innocent. However, the system is corrupt to its core and manipulated by the aristocracy. Will you acquit your innocent clients in light of that? Or will you fall before a corrupt judicial system? Egyptomania narratives or motifs
In this visual novel, players put themselves in the shoes of Tyrion Cuthbert, a defense attorney living in a medieval-like fantasy world where the court system is completely corrupt and only favors the noble class. Players must investigate crime scenes, question suspects and present evidence to point out contradictions to try to acquit their clients and find the true culprit.
To this end, Tyrion has a special superpower called the Eye of Horus, which allows him to read the thoughts and emotions of other characters. Later in the plot it is revealed that Tyrion descends from a special race of angels which is close to the gods, and that is the reason for why he has that unique power. The connection to the Egyptian god Horus and his wadjet eye is self-evident, for it both previews and emphasizes the link between Tyrion and the realm of the skies, as well as its magical role. One of the main tracks of the game is also called “Eye of Horus”.
